Phelan, have both been selected for inclusion in the 29th edition of Best Lawyers in America®. In addition, partner Jonathan Petty has been named a 2023 Lawyer of the Year for Medical Malpractice Law – Plaintiffs in Richmond.

Michael G. Phelan, partner, has been selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers® since 2009 for his work in the areas of Mass Tort Litigation / Class Actions – Plaintiffs and Product Liability Litigation – Plaintiffs (Richmond). He has been recognized by Virginia Super Lawyers, including the Top 100 and Top 50 in Richmond lists, as well as The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Trial Lawyers. He is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, and is a member of the American Board of Trial advocates. He has been recognized as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer by the American Association for Justice (AAJ) in 2007, and has been awarded AAJ’s Above and Beyond Award (2020-2022) and Wiedemann Wysocki Award (2016 and 2019).
